The Town of Atoka will be hosting “Safe Night Out” on October 31st from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m at Nancy Lane Memorial Park located on Kimbrough Road. This is the 16th straight year for Atoka to host this special event. This event helps ensure that our children will not become the victim of a crime or accident on Halloween.
There will be a candy maze manned by members of the Munford High School National Honor Society. Other organizations, such as local churches, the National Guard, Coast Guard, and the Elk’s Lodge will also be in attendance.
Additionally, the annual Safe Night Out benefits the Junior Auxiliary’s Snack Packs program, a local non-profit organization dedicated to helping those in the county who are less fortunate. Admission to the event is one canned good or non-perishable item per child.
Other activities include a hayride, a child-sized train ride and more.
